SELECTED WORK
palimpsest as a pattern of cultural convergence
Interior Design Program, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), INDE 201 Introduction to Interior Design II. Course Assignment created by Mary Golden.
This project invites students to explore the idea of palimpsest—the layering of cultures, histories, and aesthetics—by creating a textile that merges two distinct cultural traditions. Drawing inspiration from architecture, interiors, textiles, and decorative arts, students will translate the essence of cultural identity into a tactile object that tells a story of intersection.
Project developed by students: Adrian Brady, Ryan Denberg, Troa Vimari, Halie Lago (Mary Golden’s session), Effie Chen, and Luca-Bella Bonanno-White.
